Volunteering at the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center

We appreciate our Volunteers!  Volunteers are critical to the fulfillment of the mission of the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, “Neighbors Helping Neighbors.”

The number of volunteers needed to accomplish all that we do here at the PNC has at least tripled, if not greater.  We’re a very fortunate agency to have such caring and committed staff and volunteers.

Volunteer receptionists answer phones, distribute and collect forms, and perform many other “front office” tasks to support the paid staff of the PNC.  Volunteers are on call for the busy holiday food distribution time and fundraising events such as the Annual Cabin Fever Chowder Fest.  Some volunteers have a regular, weekly shift in the schedule.  Others serve on an “as available” or “as needed” basis.

We will need volunteers to sort and organize the food to distribute to over 500 families at each holiday this year, both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
