Sandwich Generation Program is offering

Past Meets Present

Drop Spinning & Quilt Making

Join us at 11: 30 a.m. – 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 25 (a light lunch will be provided) in the Upper Level Senior Center. First listen to Ilse Cannon as she demonstrates the art of Drop Spinning threads to make yarn. She will also speak on the evolution of Drop Spinning.

Then hear Donna McLaughlin, a master at Quilt Making, and former quilting instructor in Rhode Island, talk on the art of quilting. Both Donna, and Cindy Vigue (a member of the Thames River Quilt Guild) will show quilts and speak on their history – new and old.

Basic Self Defense Tips for Seniors


Andrew Cornell, Owner of Pride Martial Arts & Fitness has developed an hour long presentation for Seniors called "Protecting Yourself."
Andrew will offer tips on:
How to be AWARE, How to stay SAFE, and what to do if you find yourself in a THREATENING SITUATION.


This program is very valuable to anyone 60 or older. A light lunch will be served during the program so please call today and reserve your spot. Don't become a victim, learn Andrew's easy to follow tips and STAY SAFE!
